The Hare and Hounds are a series of time trial style events where the slowest paddlers are set off first, with the aim of everyone finishing at the same time. No-one gets left behind, making for a fun event for everyone!

The series prizes will be awarded to singles paddlers who show the most improvement in their time over the series.

You will have the choice of either a 2 mile course (1 long lap), or a 5 mile course (2 long laps and a short lap).

Buoyancy aids are REQUIRED for ALL paddlers.

Paddlers must also ensure there is sufficient buoyancy in their boat, and be able to swim 25m in their paddling clothing.

All events start at 10:30am but specific start times for each paddler will be based on their speed, please be ready to get on the water from 10:15am.

Race briefing will be sent out to all registered participants the Friday before the race.

Parking for non-Southampton Canoe Club members is the public car parks outside of Woodmill Activity Centre
